shopping trolley chairs

Having moved to a new flat located on a London back street, I soon discovered that fly tipping on my doorstep was rife and that wheelless knackered shopping trolleys seemed to appear on an almost weekly basis. Being in need of furniture for my new home, the idea of using this nuisance to positive effect came by.

There is a wide range of different shopping trolleys so it is best to tailor the design of each chair to the trolley at hand trying to incorporate any damage already on the trolley into the design utilising what is already there to it’s full potential and minimising the amount of labour.

The chairs are made by cutting and folding, In some instances left over parts from different trolleys were combined to make one item. The results are striking and very durable being suited for outdoor use.
